I wanted the xbox180 to have all its interfaces on the outside like a production piece.  No dangly wires or ugly connectors.  After I got the power supply plug installed next up was getting a cat5 plug in there just right.

cat5...umm...what is that?   basically its a cable extender cat5 plug installed over power

I used more JBWeld and did some fancy bending and glued a female cat5 plug onto a piece of pci card cover.  lopped off a standard cat5 cable, wired it, and plugged it straight into the Xbox180.  Now if I needed a new mobo it was one less thing for me to solder.

I could have made the cat5 cable smaller, but I was not 100% on the mobo orientation at this point so I left it long.

I have a high definition tv so wiring the Xbox180 to do high def outputs was essential.  I found a Xbox to high def breakout box on eBay and crossed my fingers it was moddable.

When it arrived I found it to be a Xbox output cable that ran into a big arse black box with your normal stereo and RGB FEMALE plugs.  This was a good choice because if I got a breakout box that went Xbox to male cables instead of Xbox to female breakout box, this mod would have gotten dirty quick.
